Opinel Classic Originals – Stainless Steel

The Opinel Classic Originals range or as some may know if the traditional range comes with two blade options. The Opinel Carbon Steel and this one, which features the Stainless Steel blade.
 
Opinel first designed these great knives a long time in the Savoie region of France. The classic originals range is available in a number of sizes that commence with the Opinel No 2 it then increase to the largest version which is the Opinel No 12. But the most popular choice for many people is the Opinel No 8. All of the larger knives which start with the Opinel No 6 all all feature a safety feature called the Virobloc. This is a two part stainless steel safety mechanism that ensures the blade is locked closed during transport and is then locked open when inuse. The stainless steel blade ensures great outdoor performance and needs no special maintenance, as its also corrosion resistant. This also gives a high quality of cutting, its also possible to easily sharpen it when required.
